Drapes
& Curtains |
| The
difference between Drapes and Curtains is very simple. Drapes are
pleated and are more formal, whereas curtains are informal and generally
gathered. Both enhance a window with long flows of fabric. They can
be drawn back in a stationary position, or designed to open and close
in a variety of ways. |

Flipover
panels (above, left) and arch-drooped drape (above, right) are examples
of stationary drapes that preserve the beauty of the window and
the view beyond. |

|
The scrunched top (right) is called a Rouched Header. The fabric used
is quilted to provide extra fullness. |

The
curtain treatment in the window above hangs within a recess of a bowed
window, on a special rod that curves with the line of the window.
